Incorporated in 1983, Formis Computer Services Sdn Bhd (FCS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Formis Resources Berhad. FCS has built reputable name in the Banking and Securities sectors since its inception, having proven track records in mission critical, online transactional processing (OLTP) projects with Bursa Malaysia, Bank Negara, MEPS and other banks.

Today, our core businesses include system integration, selling enterprise solutions and whole range of Hewlett Packard (HP) products, maintenance of software and hardware, banking solutions, and professional services. One of Our Achievements

Through the years, FCS has successfully implemented solutions in the Financial Services Industry and Enterprise level corporations. This is further testament to our skills and capabilities to deliver solutions to customers that demand the best in technology and business decisive solutions.

One of the hallmarks of our success is a major IT consolidation exercise carried out for a large corporate enterprise. The customer was originally running 23 servers in its current environment. These servers were in a scattered environment and the customer was facing issues to manage it. Among the issues faced by the customer were security, maintenance, patching and under utilization of its IT investment.

FCS proposed and successfully consolidated its servers from 23 to 9 servers. To further optimize its IT resources FCS centralized its storage into a SAN environment, all using a world class consolidation methodology.  With the IT consolidation exercise implemented by FCS, the client has managed to improve its security, manageability of its IT environment, better utilization of its IT resources and full utilization of its storage capabilities. Apart from that, FCS also prepared a comprehensive Risk Management and Fall Back plan in order to fully prepare a contingency plan for the customer's IT environment.

With this IT consolidation exercise the customer has managed to prepare a solid IT platform to support and compliment its business activity. This is achieved through FCS's emphasise on technology, implementation methodology and most importantly our in depth understanding of the clients IT and human environment.
